I was able to borrow a very nice Osprey backpack from an older scout who couldn't make the outing. Now I'm hooked. What I learned from your workshop not only gave me the confidence to attempt this outing, it helped me find a new passion. (Also, I must have behaved myself pretty well--no crying or whining or slowing everyone down--the other leaders are encouraging me to plan for an extended hiking trip at Philmont, a huge scout reservation in NM, when my boys are older.)
